The technical sportswear brand Lurbel has received the Innovative SME seal awarded by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness.
This seal is a public recognition of the brand's commitment to innovation and research, both in the development of new products and in the textile technologies that they incorporate. To make this commitment a reality, the brand's facilities in Ontinyent (Valencia) are a textile laboratory for new sportswear, with state-of-the-art textile machinery and a team with 25 years of experience in the sector.
An SME among multinationals
The Lurbe brothers, at the head of the company since its origins in 1992, value very positively what this seal represents for the brand, which, through innovation, is establishing itself in a market sector as brand-lead as that of technical sportswear, in which the large multinationals stand out.
Made in Spain
Made in Spain is one of the hallmarks of the brand, which internally manufactures 100% of its sportswear in its facilities in Ontinyent (Valencia), generating direct employment for 40 people. On the other hand, exports currently account for more than half of its total turnover and it is present in countries such as Portugal, Andorra, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, Hong Kong, Peru and Chile. In Spain, the brand is established in close to 700 sales outlets. The seal is valid for three years from the time of granting, so the brand will be able to use it until the 14th of November 2021.
